Thanks, Obama!
Someone (didn't know if she wanted to be named?) sent me this link about how the two-faced nature of people claiming to be Christian and rejecting any semblance of charity: http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2017/1/22/1622227/-Evangelical-Christian-quits-over-Obamacare-I-discovered-I-could-no-longer-believe-any-of-it

From Today's Meeting
In the future, we might try to set up book/movie discussions, depending on attendance and how many people can get their hands on the appropriate material. Here are some of the books/movies that were brought up today. By all means, check these out whether or not we do a formal discussion on any of them.
Michael Shermer's The Believing Brain and Why People Believe Weird Things
And, I have to say, sorry-not-sorry, but if you haven't heard of it, Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas (it is the, I believe, the current record holder for the lowest score on Rotten Tomatoes) is so deliciously horrible that it's pretty much worth a watch just to laugh at it. It lends itself to being turned into a drinking game - if that's your thing. The fifteen or so minute dance sequence at the end is wretch worthy, but if you ever have any doubts as to the absolute insanity of the patrons of mainstream Christianity, this is for you.
